The brother-in-law’s met Jasmyn over a year ago when she was hosting the open jam nights at Leanne’s Bar & Grill in Millet. Jasmyn is grateful for the confidence they’ve helped her build with sharing her original songs.

 

Dale is a multi instrumentalist and a keen student of MSU. When asked, he will say he most enjoys playing by ear, but confesses it hurts too much so he uses his hands instead.

Todd received his first drum set when he was 4. His cousin promptly poked a hole in one of the drum heads and that ended Todd’s early drum journey. After a 1/4 century break, Todd picked up the drum sticks again. He’s been part of a few bands over the years and very much enjoys time together with Jasmyn, Dale and now Van as part of the Wright Laws.

Van was brought up in the small town of Stettler, Alberta, growing up with a near-constant soundtrack of timeless classics. As a child, Van developed a strong love for music, listening to the songs that his parents would play around the house, and even rushing home after school to play air guitar to the concert dvd’s that his parents had. Van eventually decided to take up guitar and piano lessons around the age of 12, which lead to a deep commitment to practice and to spend as much time playing as possible. It wouldn’t be until the new year of 2025 where Van would meet Jasmyn Wright at the Stettler brewing company, and get hired on to play lead guitar for the band. Van’s greatest inspirations fall upon artists like the Allman Brothers, the Eagles, Colter Wall, Billy Strings, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
